i was watching again one of my favourite movies, MY NEIGHBOUR TOTORO, that was done in 1988 by the oscar winning hayao miyazaki who recently got the award for sen to chihiro,

and looking in internet i found this pic that i think it reflects why i love this movie, or whoever that has a heart :) ))

definetly i would pick not my favourite but any miyazaki's movie, and don't misunderstand me, i liked shrek LOL, but hayao's are far from hits and comercialistm into a more personal and artistic way to tell a story :)

and the tandem with hisaishi on soundtracks,

it's i don't know, i think a vision that goes far beyond disney's (honestly), the first time I saw a gibli movie was back in 1984, since i haven't lost the chance to see them all , including projects or things i've had to import from china to see cos they never had a chance to be seen on screen here

some are known

as mononoke

others real, this one is really harsh, it's about two child that die of starvation in japan during the second war world, not for a child, but yet again, a piece of art. THE GRAVE OF THE FIREFLIES
