Debbie -
Sounds like you got a gig with a lotta work, responsibility and running around. Good thing you don't mind traveling!
In your training or your HR work re: tests - have you ever run into the "MMPI"? (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory).
"So looks like the Shiite clerics will take a hold of Iraq... I wonder when the Iran/Iraq merger will occur"
I don't expect that - even with some common religious beliefs Iraqis have never been fond of Iran, especially after 10 years of war. More likely the Iraqi Shiites aren't interested in sharing their new national autonomy/sovereignty. And not having a majority government means they'll have to comprimise with others.
Democracy obviously takes different forms, depending on where it develops. So a democratic Iraqi won't look like US democracy or Euro democracy. It'll be a work-in-(slow)progress.
If I had my druthers, Iraq would have been divided into 3 distinct geographic territories commited to "a peaceful coexistence". Iraq was/is an artificially created nation, one of Winnie Churchill's few bad ideas. As his grandson (WCIII, who supported the liberation of Iraq) said, "My grandfather invented Iraq." in drawing up artificial borders in the MidEast.
It was a bad invention.
Now, as for what should be nuked - probably Las Vegas, that cesspool of decadence!!! hahaha! But only if we could get all the career politicians there first (that shouldn't be too hard!). I support various political ideas across a wide spectrum of ideology, but have a disdain and distaste for the "political class"!
Oh yeah, and let's not forget the lawyers....
BTW, I see I missed Happy Birthday wishes to you and some other good BlahBlahers. (Real life stuff keeps me away for awhile)
A belated Happy Birthday to ya, Debbie! Hope you had some fun!
