If there's one thing I've learned on this board, it's that rationality is relative.

Neo-rationalism, anyone?

I totally agree...relativism ignores the possibility of absolutes. I, being a Christian (you, Steve, need to understand what a fundamentalist is before you go calling anybody one), believe in the absolutes as found in the Bible. Without that grounding point, all else is relative...including, I'm afraid, your point of view, Steve.

And do you consider the Bible to be the authentic word of God?

Literally written by God, no. Inspired by God, yes. On our own, mankind could not have written it. Clear yet?

I'm thinking it would be whole lot easier instead if they just grabbed the nearest pen and scrawled this on their arm:

"SORE LOSER"

Why Steve, nice of you to butt in. As a matter of fact, I do believe it...absolutely. But before you go off on yet another tirade, remember (or learn) that much of both Genisis and Revelations are metaphoric...as well as some other portions of the Bible. I'm gonna make you figure out which is which for yourself, or drop the argument for lack of familiarity with the subject at hand...one of the two.
