Let's say a little bit of faith is restored regarding the U.S.
I always heard over the last couple of months that most Americans disagree with how the administration is handling world- and local-affairs. Now I'm convinced that at least SOME reasonable people are living "over there" and that democracy prevails. |

Almost everyone I know was against the Bush administration's antics.
And I'm in the south, where it's supposed to be Bush country... _________________ =================================================================

I was a little surprised by a news article yesterday. Bush & Blair have told the Iranians and syrians that they must assist in the peace process in Iraq.
Who knows ? It may be essential to the region, but has anyone thought ? these regimes, don't like being told ! Has anyone thought of asking them ?
Who knows ? maybe their answers would be the same eitherway.
But people are dying........... I'd have thought it was worth a try.

It doesn't, at least not as far as the pop version goes.
The neutronbomb is a modified A-bomb were the blast has been reduced to get more radiation, with higher neutron emission. The blast is still 1/4 of an A-Bomb of similar size, so dropping it on, say, cities would definitely be hurting the infrastructure.
the N-Bob is thought for hard & heavy targets that would survive a blast, like groups of Tanks (high density material is a bad protection for neutrons, digging a hole in the ground for shelter is actually better). Then it would leave the target intact while its radiation kills the inhabitians. Not that you could do much with it afterwards for some time, but still...

U.S. production of the N-bomb was postponed in 1978 and resumed in 1981 |
