advice on vocal microphone?

I was thinking of getting a rode k2
is that a good mic for vocals?

I would like to know which is the best option (and semi-affordable ) solution for home studio recording (500-1000 dollars) not over :/

Does she have a good mic pre-amp?

What kind board is she running into?

I'm thinking about buying a tladuio valve classics preamp
and upgrading to a firerace soundcard
in fact if I have to upgrade (not sure how i'll pay LOL) yep, it will be preamp-mic

this was suggested bluebird by a frind that has a music theory, played in army band and records and is working on movie sound track for 500 clams..

tlaudio seems to be the final option for the preamp

i was in a friends house today and they hand a naumann of 4000 arg... sounds heavenly ... but it cannot be, not now...
i'm almost decided for a preamp-mic set but still need to save a little bit.
