Well, it's been a long time now for myself HAHAHAHA
But life can be troublesome and busy at times, at least that was and is true for me. Anyway, I indeed managed to frickle together a version of the new track
"No More Sorrows"
...feat. Kate Cassidy on vocals.
The song has an 'easy' approach, foremost it is there to forget about sorrows for 4 minutes
Maybe it does the same to you
...if not, I'm truly sorry in advance! HAHA
Feel absolutely free to post here new tracks of yours as well!!!!!!!!!! _________________ .

wooohoo! Starts off with Kate's distinctive vocals !!!! see the sunshine on its way!! You gotta believe!!! Woooohoooo!! Great lyrics! Well done Kate! Very catchy tune. Energetic tune. I think the fade out works really well on this track. OK - time to listen again! _________________ http://undergroundhk.com

Listening as I type....
We live in different Worlds, Musically.....
But I always enjoy the superb production, and extreme Passion in Kate's voice.......
Man. Kate can Seriously Sing her Scottish Heart out...!
What Passion in that Voice...!
Nice track, Mike.
Every time I hear Kate sing I feel weak for days......
Wow...
What passion..... |

Well...
And since you said it's ok to post other songs....
Here is something totally different from your MBAF style.....
You may not like it.. - it's very "cookie-cutter" and predictable.. - with mediocre performance and production..
But what the hell... - I wrote it and played it....
Hosted at Soundlift
The first track... "Breathe"......
The second track... - "Stand Up" ... - might be a bit more interesting and challenging musically...
I wrote it, but didn't play on this track...

Sad thing is, I have everything I need to record some of my new music, but this film I'm working on is dragging and beginning to feel like the neverending film job. I did finally get the entrie film, but they still have to make cuts which means rework for me. I think once it's done, I'm going to spend a year recording all the songs I've been wanting to for the last 2 years. I may do some short films, and may even make one of my own, but I wont be on someone elses schedule. |

Droolymutt
Thanks for listening and your comments, Kate will be amused to know that you feel 'wea' for days after listening to her! HAHA
I am just listening to "Breathe" and most definitely this is a different style of music compared to ours, but nonetheless I felt entertained. A positive musical vibe, well executed and produced!
"Stand Up" starts off a bit 'cheesy' for my taste but overall it develops into a nice piece of music with pleasent harmonies. Only the chorus sounds a bit "stressed" for my ears. I don't know why, but I feel remembered for Billy Idol during the verse parts |

Nice one, Mike. But not one of your best. Kate's vocal, sound and your playing are great. But for me there's something missing. Nevertheless it's more Rock than Europop.
Anyway this is my "new" one. Of course it's several weeks old but it was the last real production I made. It's called "Let You Go".

Haha, Drooly! "Breathe" is a cool one. Excellent for driving my Volvo on a hot summer's day! You did listen to "Needles and Pins" many times, didn't you?

Hey Mike,
I've added your new song to station Radio Free Tunes and Enchantress Radio. Kate gives a powerful performance!
My neighbor down the street has a friend who's in a band and they just released a CD together. My neighbor's friend is some guy named Bruce Springsteen. They wrote this song together last year called "Code of Silence" that won Bruce a Grammy award for best live vocal performance.
My friend Joe Grushecky and Bruce just release a studio version of the song.
Check it out on station Radio Free Rock at http://www.artistlaunch.com/radiofreerock
Maybe Bruce will make it big one of these days...
Some other guys who are trying to make sent me their CD two weeks ago...The Los Lonely Boys. You can hear them on Radio Free Rock too. _________________ RadioFreeTunes.com

Well, this sounds like a huge film-project then at least! |

Thanks for listening Sebastian, even if that's not your new 'favorite'
I checked your "Let You Go" before and I'm just listening again.
Starts moody but has a fun 'celebrating' chorus which switches back to the blue feel again. Not too shabby!
There are some cool sounds and chords incl. the backwards-strings |

Welcome Paul!
You finally made it! Thanks for listening and your comments, I am glad you like "No More Sorrows"
I'm just listening to your suggested track "Code of Silence".
Most definitely you can hear the influence of "the boss"
Very well done, straight forward rock with that special, crunchy guitar sound |

Thanks for the honest, objective opinion, Mike.... - I must agree with your words "cheesy" and "stressed".....(about "Stand Up")... - although I really can't hear the Billy Idol thing..
It's so nice to hear friendly HONEST comments when someone listens to one of my tunes. Especially from an intelligent source...! Thanks for that..!!
Sebastian..!! ACK..!!!! - You Caught me in my plagarism of "Needles and Pins"..... - and you're right. That's Exactly where that riff came from..!! (You're showing your age by recognizing that, my Friend...!!!... ..)
I'm enjoying "Let You Go" as I type. Very familar Yj2 style. Who's playing the keys?
You always have a refreshing "unpolished" feel to your tracks. I know you do that on purpose. It's quite welcome in these days of "overproduction"..
That little guitar solo was VERY powerful and ear-opening.
Nice track, Sebastian... - but I've heard catchier, hookier melodies from you. |
