I have a couple of original tunes I recorded a few years ago, that I never put up, because of this.
I felt it sounded cheap, but now I just don't know.
What do you all think? |

Well if you think they sound cheap, maybe consider them as a 'demo' of what your song is about? Some people are horrified to hear 'cheap' backing music but others can hear the potential in a song however it was recorded.
Does that help? _________________ http://undergroundhk.com

I don't do demos, they are all finished product, ha ha ha...
That's why I'm not a pro. |

Pre-set auto accompaniment can sound ok. It's usually in tune, and the timing is usually pretty tight.
So if that's all you want - stick with the pre-sets. Just push a few buttons. and "voila"... you can tell all your friends that you wrote a song.
But if you "really" want to write a song? Write it. Don't just push a few buttons on a keyboard.
The truth ALWAYS comes across in music. If you try to cheat, or get lazy... - it will come across.
Write the damn music yourself.
Ya lazy twat...!

If I ever care, I will... I was screwing around.
Man, I don't want to manually play all those damn parts.
The songs are at my soundclick page. _________________ =================================================================

Ya lazy twat.
If I want to hear songs like that, I'll push a pre-set on my keyboard. |

Ever play in a band?
Or do you have any 3-D friends who are musicians?
If not, you should try to hook up with some people.....
I think one of the finer pleasures in life is getting together with some friends, some instruments, and a few brewskies. Doobies are optional.

You don't have to manually play them. Just use a good sampler and make them sound real. If the songs can hold their weight and are worth the effort, then it will pay in the end. |

No, I only sang in one for a few months... I tried hooking up for 3 years, back in the early 2000's. School has monopolized my time, since 03. And I have 2 more years to go, at least. _________________ =================================================================

Well I used the default stuff on my keyboard. I thought it sounded cool, as backing music. I just knew that it would be laughed at by anyone that is a real musician.
Man, I wish I had gotten into this stuff when I was a kid, instead of drinking & partying. _________________ =================================================================
