You have obviously read this thread, but not understood a single word. Tragic, isn't it?

And NRKofOver I meant "socialist intellectual" as a mockery not a compliment

PS. please don't respond with a stupid satire.

Hmmm, I can't tell which response I should pay more attention to, the explanation or the suggestion?

canada's universal healthcare system is a disaster

I'm hoping this means that healthcare is now much better in America? I have no idea what Canadian healthcare is like but I know without medical insurance in USA, you have no chance of medical help? Is this true?

nope not true. maNY PEOPLE CHOOSE TO NOT HAVE HEALTH CAre (oops dam caps key) because they know by federal law anyone insured or not can walk into an emergency room at any hospital and the hospital has to treat them. not only that, but ambulance rides are free so if someone does not have a car and does not want to pay for a taxi they cak diall 911 on their phone and the ambulance will/has to take them to a hospital for free medical treetment.

not exactly but in a way yes. there is a law that says an emergency room in a hospital can not turn someone away for being uninsured and some people use it as a loop hole to save ins. costs.

That's cool! Sorry but in an emergency, you should get treatment first.

I feel very strongly about this because one of my best friends died in the Phillippines because no one had enough cash to pay for emergency treatment and ambulance.

V.A.T. tax is the answer to the short falls in social services and the exit of Americans to points abroad in frustration; due to GATT and NAFTA laws transferring jobs abroad, and off-shifting payments for infrastructures away from the traditional federal withholding tax deductions, (in its traditional industrial compact since the ending of WWII), form the formerly vast American industrial base.

With no one left to otherwise "pay the bills" everyone will surely be leaving eventually; no ? :kiss

I happen to be Canadian and you should make sure your info is accurate before making statements about our health system. Yes, I agree it isn't perfect, but NOONE waits a year for a mamogram - I waited 4 days. In addition, I have a son who has special needs and within less than a week of referral he had speech therapy, occupational therapy, and assistant in the class room and an assessment by a peadiatrician and a psychologist. ALL of which was covered by our..what did you call it? Disaster of a health care system.

You bloody americans should do your homework before popping off.
