Where did Dick Clarke work again?

A big white building in Washington?

The movie doesn't claim that Dubya got planes for the saudis.

It reflects that when the entire US was grounded; Saudis, including a lot of them who go by the name of Bin Laden, were picked up around the country. After a short interview with secret service all of them were packed on a plane when airtraffic slowly was getting up again.

It asks why there was not a more thorough examination, maybe someone of the Bin Ladens knew where Osama was, since he was a family member.

On July 12, a gallup showed that 8% of the American adults had seen Fahrenheit 9/11 (July 12 est. 81,832,000), 18% still planned to see it at a theater and another 30 percent plan to see it on video.

That extra 18% would represent 184 million and give F911 a domestic total of 266 million.

This is based on a gallup and seems incredible.

Nevertheless, according to the gallup, about 56% of the American adults have seen or plan to see the movie in a theatre or on DVD.

Galmin - "After a short interview with secret service all of them were packed on a plane when airtraffic slowly was getting up again."

I don't think that's the way it happened. The Secret Service was not involved...it isn't even their jurisdiction. It was the FBI...and not all were interviewed. There is still investigation going on as to how this happened. 142, mostly Arabs, were sent out on six chartered flights to various destinations. There were a few, according to the manifests we know of (not all have been made public), that should not have been allowed to leave.

So it was the Feds. They did not interview all.

Sit down now, DT: it seems you and Michael Moore agree on the point that there's something terribly fishy about all this. Maybe you should go and see the movie? :lol

Gal - Frankly, the Moore devotees are more inclined to be swayed emotionally by propaganda, as opposed to being comfortable working with objective factual dissection.

There are probably true believers who could swear Elvis is still alive and is a victim of alien abduction. And they can prove it, at least to their own satisfaction.

If person is already emotionally inclined to point Z, any good illusionist can string points A through Y to establish Z as fact. This is a common technique in putting together most conspiracy theories, no matter how absurd. Cults make regular use of the same modus operandi, e.g. the Heaven's Gate cult and Aum Shinrikyo cult.

Since you had already arrived at "Z", the road was 99% paved for Moore to add a string of falsehoods and half-truths (i.e. half-lies) to supply the non-sensical "A thru Y 1%" to confirm your predisposition to cling to Z, no matter the loss of intellectual integrity it entailed.

The website "Spinsanity" is one of the best non-partisan sites around in seperating fact from fiction. They seperate the valid from the B.S., no matter the source - left, right, middle, whatever.

Here's one glance at F911 from there, with related links to other Moore articles on the site at the page bottom.

Fahrenheit 9/11: The temperature at which Michael Moore's pants burn

But, then again, we must remember that Moore openly confesses that F911 is only a comedy movie (e.g. Mel Brook's "Blazing Saddles") and, according to his own stated criteria, facts do not apply to comedy. Never were truer words ever spoken, since facts and Moore do not mix very well at all.
