Well HKRC, the British thought she was so evil they paid a French Baron or something to deliver her to them. She was responsible for the deaths of a bunch of British soldiers which save the lives of French soldiers.
No hearing voices is not "normal" but it does not mean P.S. either.

It all makes me wonder what some peoples limits are. Nobody except crazy people want killing...the question for each of us is what justifies it? How many people must a murderer kill before we feel justified in killing him to stop him? What if he (or she) shoots at the cops who are trying make an arrest? Do we let the killing continue, or do we shoot them first and put an end to it before more innocent people are killed? God obviously has his own set of criteria, and I would not be one to question him...but what about us?
In the case of Saddam, lives have been lost...but how many have been saved by taking him out of power? And unless you admit to a connection between Iraq and terrorism, what does invading Iraq have to do with anything the terrorists do? 9/11 was way before the invasion of Iraq. I'd say terrorism was already an issue.
And WHO IS ANYBODY to say that another person has not heard the voice of God? How arrogant. That person must be quite the spiritual one...and much more intuitive than the average person, indeed. You might as well say that you think that God does not exist. I think some people mistake the voice of a demon for the voice of God. So, if you do hear a voice, how will you know who it is? Better be up on your Bible and prayer.

There are rules for that in the civil law! You are entitled to open fire on someone who is seriously threatening the life of another. Saving someones life from a raging murderer does not require you to consult your faith, merely your common sense. If people seriously went around and pondered if they would burn in hell for this and that in the situation you describe they would simply add to the statistics.
The difference is here to intervene when the incident is taking place and the threat actually is grave (like when he/she shoots at the cops trying to make an arrest), compared to execute the person once the incident is over, the shooter taken into custody and the threat is gone.

Using your example, leaders of many countries were responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths during WWII. Do we blame them soley for their actions, or do we realize that there was a necessity? On the other hand, if you decide, for whatever reason, to brand them a "witch", it becomes very easy to justify any attitude towards them that you care to take...noting that the attitude was there BEFORE the justification.
As far as making any assumptions about who God has spoken to and who he has not, I would be very hesitant to say one way or the other about anybody. After all, how do we know? We can't...we either believe, or we don't.
Coupling these two ideas together, it can be seen that while it is difficult to say if God has spoken to somebody, yet it is quite easy to brand somebody a "witch" when only supplied with information that fulfills the desire to believe so. Path of least resistance?
