Steve painted himself into a corner there, DT7. To answer the question would pose more than one problem. But you've tackled problem number 1 for him. A following problem is in the intellectual dishonesty, moral failure and hypocrisy in being totally unable to denounce - with equal ferver - the homicide bombers and the repeated wars launched against the Jewish state by neighbor Arab states(BTW, were those wars "illegal"?). So, even if Steve were unafraid and/or capable to address problem 1, he's all yin and no yang on the 2nd. The particular corner Steve has painted himself into here is the catch-22 of incongruity.
