Mike, I don't think I was fooled. I obviously don't know the extent (or lack) of the neo-@#%$ problem in Germany. I tend to look at those fringe groups as a whole based on my experience in the US. They are small and inconsequential. Although they may make headlines occassionally, they do little in the way of significant change.

Well, all I know is that even the slightest reference to the third Reich here, voiced from a sympathizing politician, leads to his loss of any political function and future.



Denying the Holocaust, voiced/performed by private persons in public, means 2 years jailtime minimum.



Wearing the insignias of the 3rd. Reich, like it is ALLOWED in the USA (Swastika on flags or bumper stickers), means 2 years jail minimum and denial of civil rights (right to vote and so on).



That's how it is here.



You DON'T see and you DON'T hear anything, except of some singular eternal yesterday lunatics in the countryside and they are taken care of and from foreign media and some blind and deaf folks on messageboards, incl. U.S. patriots on a desperate road of self-defense for own failings.



I'm no die hard patriot and still there are NO flag parades in Germany, while I see official "hoo rah war heroes"- and "flag"-parades in the USA.



I would say anytime that I love my country but I would never say that I'm living in the "greatest nation on earth" or would tout about "our greatness" like it has been done and is still be done by U.S. governement officials and probably millions of Americans in patriotic drunkeness and hunger for war and domination.

That's EXACTLY what YOU did to ME (and Larree, and FT, and God knows who else at some time or another) just about this time last year - right here on THIS ILLUSTRIOUS BOARD - when you pulled this same old lying crock and jealously accused me of stalking, harrassing, threatening, etc. (when I never did any such thing), and detailed how YOU were going to make ME suffer for it. You've stalked and threatened me thrice so far. You've posted the name of my chairman, my company and some obscure references to fbi sites. You don't need to say it. And then you edited out your posts. This is how bullies work - they play this mind-game psychological stuff in an effort to intimidate and then when caught out try to confuse the issue by saying "where did I actually say that". Well you said it by implication and the intent clearly shone through...



And so to the accusation that you have stalked and threatened, I for one, was a victim. I don't particularly care who did what to you, but I know what was done to me.

Nope. Not buying it this time, Galmin. EXACTLY what do those numbers represent. What KIND of foreign aid. I'm certain that if I tried (as you must have), I could find a category that put each one of those coutries on top in one way or another. For one thing, I saw no references at all on that link. Better find something to back those numbers up fast!

OK...I find it easier to buy that. The US does give the most...just not the most as a percent of GNI.

Yes, the US give the most at the time in raw dollar amount.



They give the least as a percent of GNI (UN goal 0,7 US part 0,14.. but it is increasing! It has been down to 0,1%. Of course, times were better economically then...) and are defenitely not hot on the per capita chart.



When comparing foreign aid with f.i. Denmark, a country with about 5 million citizens, one has to remember that the US has about 290 million citizens (58 times bigger).



Denmark provided 1,6 million in foreign aid in 2001, the US 10,88. Per capita, Denmark is thus paying eight (8!) times more.
