There is also no proof that they don't. But my point was, if you read my posts, that movies are the #1 catalyst...as in my match and gasoline analogy. It's primarily what started the ball rolling. no proof either way it is all speculation.
my point about the cowboy movies along witih every john wayne movie is i saw lots of people get killed and never had the desire. but to reverse it i saw some movies where yankees killed southerners and mexicans killed all at the alamo and i never developed a desire to kill mex. or yankees.
i grew up in a town of about 4,000 and my father worked in a city. never had too many gun lessons. just simple commen sense like do load it inside the house- walls are expensive to repair and nevr point it at someone unless you are willing to pull the trigger.

This phenomenon is not at all unique for humans. Animals are prone to do it aswell (well, not exactly caraccidents, but anywhere a flockmember is hurt or killed the effect is thoroughly examined to learn from it). The reason for it being the instinct of self-preservation. (Smile, it's in our genes )

No problem, it's an interresting topic.
TV and B-movies, however, are available allover the world, still there is no western nation matching your murder statistics. Why do you think that is?

"TV and B-movies, however, are available allover the world..."
Yes...but the TV programming in America is different, as is the culture, and therefore the effect.
