I downloaded the tune last night - it is a fine song with a lotta airplay potential. Fun vocals and an all-around upbeat sound. Hope these folks get noticed - I see this is from their first major label release, cool.

Oh they have a major label release? Well I'm not surprised! That particular song was going round my head yesterday! I got the coolgrrrls.com compilation CD and that track was the 2nd track - truly outstanding track. :banana

Yeah, they call it "major" in the LavaBaby bio section, but they may be thinking more of the distributor, BMG. The label is Liquid 8 Records - www.liquid8records.com ,which is actually quite local to me. Interesting.

Well, the label is local to me, but the group is based in NYC I believe. They may never have even been here before!

The label is in Minnetonka, which is a western suburb of Minneapolis (biggest city in the state of Minnesota). I'm in a southern 'burb of Minneapolis.

Okay, lol - the prefix "Minne" is from the Ojibawe Indian (Native American) language and means "water". We have a lotta lakes in Minnesota. In fact it's nickname is "the Land Of 10,000 Lakes". Minnetonka means "Big Water". Minneapolis is a combination of Ojibawe "Minne"(water) & the Greek "apolis"(city), "City Of Lakes". The states name, Minnesota, means "Sky Blue Water".

And to add to all that, I used to live on Minnehaha Avenue! (Minnehaha="laughing waters")
