Hi everyone!



I go to an area in Hong Kong called "Sham Shui Po" a lot. Usually to source fabrics for my lingerie. One day last week, I didn't walk out through the usual exit and fell into this amazing market selling all kinds of electrical appliances, cables, guitar leads, second-hand stuff. Just plain UNLIKE Hong Kong!!!



I acted like a tourist taking photos!!! hahahahahaha Let me share some with you:



I couldn't believe people were sifting through second-hand stuff. It's not a popular concept here. Like the Japanese, people would rather throw away something broken and buy a new one, than repairing it!!!!





I was surprised to see amongst the junk for sale, lots of 'communist' items!!!!





Bright neon light shops!!





Second hand drills?!?!? I don't know why this captured my imagination but it did!!!!!





Nepalese saleswoman selling knick knacks alongside junk!!!





Anyone looking for a monitor?

I love places like that.....when I can find them. Lots of junk, but jems abound as long as you have the patience to look for them!

Me too! I spent over an hour there buying guitar cables, nosing around. I've been back once more since last week! hahahaha It's literally round the corner from the street I buy fabric in. :banana

In America they are all over. Some vendors are wise and some just want to sell out and go home. Used isn't alway bad. Most of the time used means they have no use for it :)

I spend a LOT of time going to flea markets and digging through antique stores and second hand stores...I can hardly pass on without stopping...

(NO, I'm not gay...But I do know lots of showtunes!!......and I think Bruce Willis is pretty cute....)
