What are important signs that girls display to let a guy know she is interested?

1. Contact. Touching hands, elbows, whatever. The more contact she initiates, the more interested I know she is.

2. Eye contact

3. Body position. If she turns to face me squarely when we talk, she's interested.

4. Getting me drunk & taking me home with her.

If standing, watch where the feet are pointed. lots of playing with hair (theirs, not yours. Course they could simply need a shampoo)... lotsa small give-aways...

i always thought if :ft

they pulled up their skirt with their left hand and then snapped their finger on the right hand and then pointed with their index finger to between their legs.

Their feet point in your direction. And thats most everyone. Even if their bodies or face seem to be turned towards someone else...

Initiating a more innocent, non-sexual touching while she's with you. That's unless the lass is just one of those folks who are "touchy" by nature, no matter who the other person may be. Gotta use your best judgment there.

Or she could just suggest doing something together - again something innocent & non-commital, e.g going to an art show, a concert, bike riding together and so on.

(But Sir Reel's suggestion would probably be faster...)
