Actually, "douche" is a French word, meaning "shower".....



A "douche bag" is something that used to be used for feminine hygiene....





Calling someone (usually a female) a "douche bag" or a "douche" is a way of saying you don't think too highly of them....





Sometimes men are called douche bags, though.



As in "Sterling is SUCH a douche bag".... - ha..!





I guess it's a North American thing...

ok! That makes it more clear to me! British people don't use that term and certainly the Chinese dont!! (I'm sure we both have far worse expressions!!! hahahahahha)

Well, just in case you find occaision to call someone a douche bag in Hong Kong, the English phonetic pronounciation is "doosh bag"....





(I know how careful you Brits are about using the Queen's English correctly....)
