Do you believe in an afterlife (why or why not?)?

I don't believe in souls, afterlives, gods, devils, witchcraft, voodoo or Santa Claus. But, dang, being a ghost would be cool. I would have a blast haunting people.

since humans are incapable of fathoming the concept of nothingness it is human nature to want to believe in an 'afterlife'. still that doesn't mean it doesn't exist only that we can never know until death occurs

But there's no guarrenteed admission, I'm sure of that. (And for those who won't make the cut should be thankful for that considering their absense of real consionce in their present life, you just can't turn a blind eye to ongoing atrocities and pretend you're not aware of them..)

I don't think these folks will have much to worry about though..

The deceased are among us when they need to be. I can't know what their new existance is like but I think it's a pretty safe bet that those who spent their earthly lives doing nothing worthwhile and deliberate harm will not be found among them..

Wow this thread is a great read! Its something we can only have a viewpoint over. Wonder if 'science' could ever prove anything about the afterlife....?
