I think if you like Malmsteen or you just like to hear someone master an axe....Vai is better axemanship....Tony Macalpine dusts them both. Macalpine is speed and tone and accuracy all in one bundle. The album to listen to is Maximum Security. But you never know....Maybe they all kind of use that slow down to record and speed up to play when they are live they all sound like they are using the same equipment....and a lot of those bitchen tones don't exist. And their speed is all relevant to how high you are

you should see the still alive lenerd skynard guys. at the time of plane crash they were under 25 and pencil thin now they are fatter than yingwey (sp?) pretty neat. i wish i could shred..
