EJ strikes Hong Kong!

...with all due respect to members of the board, my fav guitar picker, Eric Johnson, is touring in support of his new album "Bloom". But he's doing the Asian theatre first...including Hong Kong!

I saw the ad yesterday in HMV! Is he worth watching? I've ahem never heard of him....

Eric Johnson is amazing !!

His level of precision, and delicacy of touch, is awesome !!

Just my luck, I'll be in HK a month too late to see him.

Does his tour bring him to the UK at all, if so do you know when ?

He's all about the music...not very flashy. But you won't hear a sweeter sound coming from anyone (IMHO)...his playing almost sounds like magic. Don't get me wrong...he rocks, too...but that's not all he does.

...that's Oct 20th, ianbal...hope you're there then! No dates past Oct have been officially released yet...but I bet he makes it to UK.

EJ did the G3 tour with Steve Vai and Joe Satriani about 9 years ago.

I personally thought he was the highlight !

To be honest, chris, he's a guitar-player's guitar player...he's the guy folks like Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top) talk about behind closed doors (when they don't have to worry about their own image/prowess with the instrument). There's a good reason he was on the G3 tour.
