When you search for something do you GOOGLE it? Or do you search using YAHOO?

yahoo.com



WHY?

Usually Google.



As a matter of fact the quality of search returns is better from Google than from Yahoo - at least thats my subjective impression.



As an alternative I also use cluster search engines like

Vivisimo.com. The results are there displayed in categories (i.e. "Music", "Photos", "Blogs" etc.) which can lead to a very fast search and interesting results.

I started this thread cause someone was arguing with me saying Yahoo was the number 1 search engine because Alexa rates it as that. My argument is - yahoo.com also houses news and email (I visit yahoo.com daily to access my email eg.) I've not used yahoo for a search since 2001... ANd people would only put in www.google.com if they were searching, not checking email or reading news.



So is there anywhere else I can get statistics to prove google is the #1 search engine?
