Whoever wants to listen to some screaming tube amps

(like I did today):

***Eye Of The Wind***

It was a very windy day today over here and I checked for

fun some tube amp combinations in the studio and ended up

with a Peavey Classic50 and Ampeg VT-40 combination.

I hope you like the sound :)

Kinds of brings on the feel of Starship Bolbota with a Larry Carlton meets Lee Ritenour feel and moves.

Just my opinion though.

I liked it...and that's saying a lot. The drums seemed a little weak in the mix...but hey. That is real close to my kind of thing. Way cool...and that extra reverb really helps give it that "windy" feel.

Two thumbs up...:yo :yo

Listening.....

intro feels "windy" for sure...

Did you double the guitar track...?

Or maybe that's a short delay I hear.........

incredible tone..........

sustain for days.....

One of the things I love about tube amps is that at high volumes the overtone harmonics are in tune with the root note. Transistor amps seem to create discordant harmonics on loud sustained notes...

Nice tune, Mike... - gave me a pleasant, mellow vibe..

With transistors, all order of harmonics are equally reproduced...27th order, 53rd order, etc.(when into distortion). This sounds buzzy, harsh, and not very musical. Tubes roll off most harmonics above the 12th or so (it varies). But you don't get all this buzz and nazal tone that sounds like a Venusian nose flute. You get music!!!
