Over 90% of the other contestants are bare-chested musclebound young guys and scantily clad pretty young women so if I get anywhere it will be really saying something! There's a 60-year old Welsh cowboy in it too! ;)



Prizes are very cool: all expenses paid holiday in Ibiza plus the title of 'Wales on Sunday Idol 2004' & there's a male and a female winner. And you get a professional photo portfolio session with an award-winning photographer!



It's all good publicity! LOL Fingers crossed! ;)

Yes, my pic with green beard was among the hopeful contestants in this Welsh Sunday paper contest! And it says:



Green giant Steve Andrews, a singer/songwriter from Cardiff, who calls himself the Bard of Ely, reckons his distinguished look sets him out from the rest.

Steve, 51, who is single and loves walking in the countryside, said: "I am a poet, compere and author, and I have an image that shows I am very concerned about all green issues."

But Steve faces tough competition from men oozing with confidence.



This Sunday coming a panel of judges will select who goes through to the finals that get voted on so wish me luck! ;)
