yeah we noticed that when it was happening. i thought it pitifully stupid of him especially since the opening monologue was about the show being live.

i think he's a no talent hack too btw. always disliked that sort of "music". don't get me wrong, i dig rap sometimes but it has to have some sort of intelligent and musical background, two things i think he's lacking in. anyway, my wife and i laughed when it happened on saturday, and to have happened twice in the same song was pitiful. we figured there would be some sort of explanation of why it happened but haven't seen it yet.

You can get the short video at the link at below. (I've always thought he's just a lame rip-off of "Vanilla Ice" anyway. ::yawn::)

"That's right, on Saturday Night Live's October 30 episode, Eminem obviously lip-synchs his new track "Mosh." Em's still singing when he pulls the microphone away...TWICE!!! Huge shocker after Ashlee Simpson SNAFU"

everyone knows that there is a dubbed chorus in live raps. did he do the 'meat' of the song live, or was it lip-synched?

Interestingly this means that SNL requires lip-synching. Sometimes it's a requirement by a show. I'll always remember a friend telling me about Nirvana being on Top of the Pops (a UK music Top 20 chart programme) where interestingly they are only allowed to sing live - the music has to be prerecorded and the band has to mime to it. So apparently Kurt Cobain took the mickey out of the UK TV program - made it way obvious he wasn't actually playign the guitar (windmill chops) whilst singing in a low deep voice that was nothing like the track was meant to be sung. APparently it brought a huge discussion out on why bands cannot perform live?

I saw that episode. He wasn't even trying to hide the fact that he was "lip-syncing". I mean, how do you even justify lip-syncing to a RAP song?!!?!

Actually on all of his records, he double vocals anyway. I guess he was trying to get away with that effect live...
