The body....most of my relatives live that long anyway, and are sharp as a tack up until the day they go....so I'd have the body of a younger man with the wisdom that comes only with age. That, plus I'd hate to be a burden to somebody else having to take care of me.

If you were able to live to the age of 90 and retain either the mind or body of a 30 year old for the last 60 years of your life, which would you want and why?

I'd go with the 90 year-old mind - if I can also have the body of some 30 year old babe who has a thing for a 90 yo geezer with a keen intellect. Kind of a mix & match choice! Or wasn't that an option?

30 year old body for me. I miss the days when my bones didn't creak.

I would so love to have the mind of a 90 year old person... - provided it's healthy and clear.....- in a young, strong body..

I've been blessed to know a few like that...(some of them close Family...)

A younger person can gain Worlds of goodness from short times spent with a healthy 90 year old mind....

And younger people can give Worlds of goodness to their elders - simply through unselfish companionship..

Respect our elders.... - they know MUCH more than us...

Yeah, I agree with ya, Drooly. A person can be very bright and intelligent at 30, but it takes years of going through life's ups&downs for that intelligence to become wisdom.

We can't do much about getting older, but we only get as old (negative sense) as we let ourselves.

And growing older is a pretty natural thing to experience, staying 30 isn't. I wouldn't mind being a 90 yo curmudgeon - at least at that age being a curmudgeon is almost considered noble.

"Grow old along with me!

The best is yet to be,

The last of life,

for which the first was made"

-Robert Burns

(Errrr...those verses weren't directed at you, Drooly. )

30 year old body?

That's disgusting. And Gross...!

When I was 16, I was certain that people over 30 never had sex.

But then again, I had the mind (and body) (and hormones) of a 16 year old.

Well, I was wondering the same thing myself....

Being only 21 years old - I wonder about these things.

Perhaps you could explain to us younger people how you old people feel about sex, Ms. B...??

:)
