Anyone know how to REMOVE RED EYE from PHOTOS?

I have these 2 band shots that I need to submit for a magazine - but we have 'RED EYE' problem.

Can anyone help to tidy up? THANKS in advance

You usually do that with Photoshop, but it's of course way better to do the photograph right in the first place (i.e. no use of flash or use at least pre-flash).

However, your links are not working. They both redirect you to your main page instead of the photographs.

I have some simple Kodak software that came with my camera which fixes red-eye quite nicely....

Give me the pictures, and I'll run them through my program, if you want.....

Argggg I forgot that folder does that - it's got an htaccess file in there...

The best way is not to drink too much the night before the photos are taken!

Drooly did a fine repair job on the pix, though!

As Mike size, it's easier to eliminate red-eye when a photo is being taken. The red eye is caused by the flash when the flash "bounces back" to the camera. It reflects the eye's blood vessels, hence the red color.

When taking pics - a few thoughts to avoid red-eye:

If the room is dark, turn on other lights to even out the lighting so the flash isn't such a sudden change to the eyes.

If the flash is removable, detach it, move it away from the camera and bounce the light off something - using a wall or ceiling or whatever. When the flash and the camera lens are close together (as is common on many cameras) it adds to the red-eye effect.

But most usually it's just a matter of the eyes not having time to adjust to the flash when in dark lighting, semi-darkness or nighttime surroundings. Pretty normal conditions at places like bars and clubs!

Some cameras have a quick double-flash to reduce red-eye. The first time is just to get the eye used to the flash, the second flash is when the photo is actually taken.

Short, quick answer - hahahaha - is just to take photos where there's a bit more light!

The funny thing is I don't like the shots of me in these photos - hahahahahahahaha I think the guys look great though!!

And yes we'd just come out from a brightly lit foyer and into a dark street. I've learned my lesson Ron.

Actually, my Kodak software is acting funny, so I used a little freebie program called "Red Eye 1.5"...

You take a lot of pictures, so you may find it useful....- it's very easy to use. Just a few clicks, and "voila"...
