ViaLucis Trilogy Part I

The acoustic guitar in this track is just beautiful and the accompanying rhythm, synth and production enhance the overall dramatic feel, giving the listener a sense of floating. This song should be in a movie soundtrack. Excellent!

The One

This one is a real toe tapper! An upbeat pop piece of ear candy that is radio ready. Lara gives a great vocal performance here and Kirk musicianship is top notch!

Kirk Monteux is a force on the Indie music scene that simply can't be ignored! Thanks very much Mike for introducing him. :yo

It's not about chart-placements...

I'm simply glad that I was able to convince a good friend of mine, Kirk Monteux, here from Frankfurt/Germany that the Internet is a good way to promote own produced music. He's got some major contracts in the past (just singles) incl. local hits like "Sing It" (Disco hurray :) ) and recently began to share a studio with me.

He has now uploaded some songs and is eager to see if his stuff will find any interested listeners on the web.

I recommend listening to...

ViaLucis Trilogy Part I

(World, New Age)

or

"The One" feat. Lara on vocals if you like more the radio-friendly party stuff.

I listened to "The One"...

I like the production....

The multiple layers of vocals adds a lot to the track...

What effect is that on "You're the one for me" at the very end..? I've heard it often, but can't figure it out..

Some kind of Flanger?

Thanks for listening Drooly! :D :)

The effect you heard is indeed a flanger, a flanger plugin

for ProTools to be more exact. To make it sound this way

you not only need to route the vocals entirely through

the flanger (onkly the 'wet' signal can be heard so to say)

you also implement some sort of hardcore EQ setting where

you use a high pass filter cutting all frequencies below 200Hz.

That's it :) ...or in other words you can't do that with a foot pedal! LOL ;)

I'm downloading "The One" to give it a listen.

A smiley for "disco" music, Mike?

Ah, well, I guess I'm just not a disco luver...

ViaLucis Trilogy Part I

Very lovely acoustic guitar. Yes sounds like a movie soundtrack. It's a little Enya like at times. Love the strings interlude. Reminds me of a beautiful 'Disney' moment.
