i would certainly consider revenge at first, but then i would have to face the psychological and spiritual ramifications of such an act, and decide against.

Nah, I thought it was a really good question. Not sure where everyone associated it with killing someone. Revenge and murder are two different things. My revenge had nothing to do with killing. Most don't.

But no, you keep up the good questions. It's good food for thought in my opinion.

I did not mean the question, I meant, it is a hard question, and "it sucks" or "it would suck" to have to make a decision about something like this.

But, people in areas of the world that are violent make choices like this every day, especially in Arab nations, where self-seeking vengeance is encouraged.

I think it is a valid question.................. but I think the best anyone can answer is what we THINK we would do ......

because so much would depend on who was killed; our response to it, and what opportunity we would have for "revenge" or how that might be reframed as seeking justice in some peoples minds.

Someone that does that kind of murder might not stop at that one time, and stopping a person that might harm someone else might not even be viewed as revenge .

So many ways of looking at it; and yet it remains a hypothetical., until some reality presents itself and lets hope that never happens .
