Reason I ask is because you get one week introductory for free and I am able to download songs from it with what seen to be for free but they only play through Windows Media Player and are wma files, bot mp3 though they seem to be the same size, what is the difference??
And id I leave before the free week is up will they charge me later for the songs I downloaded?
Anyone have any experiance with this??

Are you using a new brain Sterling?
Cos the old one was better, less paranoid
Marta: "That was not his knee"
KirK: "Something you want to tell me?
Marta: "Not all races keep their genitals in the same place..." |

The new one is pretty nice to, one good feature is that for $9.95 per month you can stream any album you like as often as you like from a library of over 100,000 albums and 750,000+ songs. If you buy the songs however they're .90 each. (.80 for larger purchases on promos.)
Right now I admit I just wanted to download some Johnny Cash and Kate Bush during the first free week promotion period and I can do that but it looks like those files expire after a week and become useless..
Oh well..

|

I have seen commercials, contests, etc etc etc.
But, I have no intention of sticking yet ANOTHER client into my computer: I have Soulseek, Kazaa Light, I-tunes (and the stuff I buy from I-tunes is actually superiour fidelity) XDCC Catcher, and Newsgroups.
These programs are also getting more and more dangerous to install, as they all compete for content. I-Tunes wants to compete with Widows Media Player for the copyrighted content, WMP8 and 9 competes with WinAMP 2.9x for MP3s, PowerDVD is also in competition with WMP 9 but Power DVD is a MUCH better player for DVD's - Itunes wants to make Quicktime the ONLY player for everything, Kazaa Lite K++ has some kind of player, DivX Codec 5.02 installs "The Playa" and there is an XviD client.
Who knows what garbage Napster wants to install into my computer? I am not going to find out... Most likely it will install more parasiteware.

And of course some of my favorite tapes of hers "Lionheart" & "Never Forever" have long departed so it's nice to her those old songs again and Johnny Cash has the great old obscure songs I like listening to, like American traditional folk songs and religious hymns, really cool stuff..
And Stan..., My musicmatch player will now play them and it seems they converted them somehow. In the properties section the liscence went from "expires in 9 days" to "Protected content".. Any idea what happened???
