Somebody needs to give "Guitar World" a music lesson or two. Half of those players do not even play "metal"..."metal" is a specific form of "hard rock". AC/DC and Led Zeppelin are certainly not "metal"...they are blues-based rock..."hard rock" if you will. Van Halen is not pure "metal" and Pantera is more "thrash" than "metal".
As far as the choices go, I'll just add that although Iommi may have been more influential, Randy Rhodes was a much more accomplished player.
