Oh well, only 4 weeks to go
Quote: Sound of Frankfurt
(4MB video with impressions from last year)
3 July 2004 (Every year)
The Sound of Frankfurt presents the city's vibrant and well-established music scene at its very best. Music of numerous styles shakes the inner-city pavements, while the large pedestrian zone around the Zeil becomes a stage for techno, rock and pop from around the globe.
The huge space between the department stores of the Zeil also leaves enough room for parties to develop around the various concerts that are taking place. Frankfurt has a dramatic skyline and partying with the skyscrapers in the background is a unique and special experience, adding to the atmosphere.
Sound of Frankfurt grew out of the city's 1200th birthday celebrations in 1994. Now in its tenth edition, the event attracts over 500,000 people to enjoy a broad range of music from drum & bass, rap and soul to jazz, latin, world music and techno. No matter which music style transforms you into a party animal, this event will make it happen. Try it out - there's more to the big parties in Germany than the Love Parade.
