I'm listening first to "Gold" - the first track with your Grammy winning producer - Wow this wasn't what I expected. It's a smooth sounding song with great vocals on it. The song starts off light and ends very powerfully! I've just listened to this twice now! Ran out of time. I'll be back later to check out more of your links Ben!

i just finished another new song tonight that i am really proud of bc i played 100% of the music and derek just did the vox

Oh well, this "Gold" track is really well produced.

I like how the guitar was treated in the mix to create an accent. Vocals are also done and recorded well!

I hear progress!!!!!

I like Gold more although the chorus in this one is great - quite nu-metal - I like the dynamics of the song. So who's the producer? I kept listening to this song. I think I like your style Ben. I'm talking about the music and vocal delivery - I haven't really focused on the lyrics....

REMEMBER THE FALL....project put together by current 2 Grammy winning producer of Evanescence/Atomship aka Dave Fortman.....Dave handpicked the musicians to write the songs and they were given to derek and myself to write lyrics/add derek on vocals.....so my role on this project is co-lyricist/help create vocal melodies and i actually was acting "PRODUCER" on these tracks when mixing the music down/adding dereks vocals though Fortman will re-record them all and be the real producer

Hi Ben! Is this a demo? It's very quiet even with the volume turned up. I've always loved your voice. I wish the mix was clearer. It reminds me ever so slightly of the Smiths and my ears are aching to hear you. I love vocals with acoustic guitar. This song is pretty. Is the chorus "See myself 30 years from here"?

Can he or you write more inspirational lyrics? I guess that's why I thought there are similarities to The Smiths who wrote some of the most depressing songs of all time.....

hahahahaahaha I guess it's cause I'm a happy person generally - there is of course a time and a place to listen to something sad. Today just isn't. Tell Derek, that many people have sad lives and tragedies to overcome and music/songs is a great simple way for them to feel uplifted and light. Or suggest he writes a song that STARTS out sad but finishes on a good note - this gives listeners hope. It's actually more challenging although I guarantee his songwriting will grow more. Send him my best wishes from Hong Kong! And of course you know I always send you my best wishes!
