hey,,,,try this..



start on your low E on the third fret...

so...G

now playing only three notes per string play



G ,A, B ,/C, D ,/B



C, D, E, /F#,G,/ E



F#, G, A,/ B, C, /A



B, C, D,/ E, F#, /D....



get it?



so the first G,A, B are one the Low E string

the C,D, on the second or A string then come back to the low E string for the B.....etc....this pattern repeats through all 6 stings



this is a way of making double triads out of only 5 notes because the third note of each triad is the same note..

..it's a favorite way to rip through scales for guys like Yngwie and Vai

and it'll teach you a way of Picking and fingering that will really help..

Pick every note.... up,down ,up, down ,up, down...



it's tempting to do either a double up or a double down pick, especially on that 6th note where you return to the previous string....but if you can run through this pattern with smooth up, down, picking you'll start to develop that cool percussive speed picking.....and you'll teach your brain some new stuff!!
