Oh well, finally I made it through the tapes we recorded last week when actually practicing for our next gigs.

Here's the first recording with my new toy, a bass-pedal I occasionally hit while playing guitar during a early morning live-jam with my band and Kate Cassidy on vocals!

It's a Roland PK-5a...

...and adds some subtle bass isn't it?

(I use a Access Virus midi-unit with it)

It's all loud and live in...

"No More Promises" :)

Kate will spank me for publishing the session, but I think there are some neat moments :)

Thanks so much for listening, Paul! :) :yo

I know jams are not everybody's taste, the more

I value that you took the time! :me

It was actually my birthday session and I'm very thankful

Kate was singing and all others did not stop playing when

I did hit the rather massive sounding pedal! HAHAHAHA

I'm happy like a little boy! weeeeeeeeeeeeee.... :D :D :D :D

Man, I love Kate's voice...

She can do no wrong..

The pedal - is it the pedal doing the "distortion" bass sound?

Thank you all for taking the time to listen :) ) :w

Netjams :D Still there's a bass player though :)

I only hit SOME additional notes on the pedal :) )

ilikepie2 :) :merci :goofy

Kate is a inspiration :)

Like I said above, some notes are coming from the pedal

and they mostly come together with the distorted guitar.

thats a neat toy!!!

it's kind of like a Taurus pedels that Geddy Lee used to play....huh?

it sounds great on this track..

I'd love to have that for my solo guitar gig..

does it have it's own soundbank or is it just a midi trigger?

it sounds cool by the way, that's a beutifull song..

that Kate a a pretty decent singer...huh?

wow

Panick! :D

Exactly it is like the Moog Taurus Pedal :)

I tried to get a real Taurus, but they do cost

tremendous money nowadays.

The PK-5a pedal I use is only a Midi Trigger, but a dynamic

one and it has some cool functions where you can easily

transpose, change programs and so on. Like I said in my initial

post I use a Access Virus with it to create the sounds:

Thanks for listening to the jam with Kate :) ))

Thanks for listening to another jam Chris :D :D :headz

You have to ask Kate to whom she is singing this.

All I can say is that we accompanied her in her heartfelt

sentiments :)

Finally I watched through the memory of my digicam

(our friend Guntram was so kind to do some snapshots)

Here's Kate while singing "No More Promises", which was

4:30 in the morning :)

......me during the same song... :blush

....and don't ask me what Pomp, our percussionist,

was thinking LOL :frankie

...and here afterwards, Kate, Werner, Gabriel and Jaro :)

I'm glad you are not bored Chris :) ))

Well, I forgot one of Matthias Funke (left) who is our new live mixer/engineer and will be with us for new adventures everywhere. He does a better live sound I would be able to do and mixes usually the big names in the big halls over here.

Another happy coincidence. We are very thankful that he joined us after his free will (!!!)

Kate's husband Rory can be found here on the right :) )))
