I've just got one question for Hawking: He claims that small black-holes cannot exist indefinitely (the reason we can't find them) because they slowly leak matter into space. Since time virtually stands still at the event horizon of a black hole, how long will it take for them to leak this matter off?

He has some interesting ideas...some which contradict Einstein. (Einstein: God does not play dice. Hawking: Not only does God play dice, but he throws them where we can't see them.)

I favor Einstein...but Hawking does have some interesting ideas. I just can't download 33 megs at the moment.

Back in the Jurassic Era when I was using a Radio Shack CoCo3 computer, I bought a speech pack that would plug into it. Sounded just like him. I would leave 'obscene' messages on some of my bud's answering machines using it, ".....this is Steven Hawking....what are you wearing?".

Hawking's always been a personal fave, an incredible mind and great wit trapped in that body. One of my first handles on the web was "EinHawk" as a personal in-joke homage to the 2 giants of physics.

DT....GREAT question!! I'll ponder that one for quite a while...

Hey...how's this??

Einstein: God does not play dice.

Hawking: Not only does God play dice, but he throws them where we can't see them.

Seismo: God not only rolls dice, he spins Roulette.

:hm

Ron...great phone gag...caller ID has pretty much killed all the good ones now, eh?

yeah, now you can only getty punny and pranky with people you know and who won't sue you.

I hate to think of kids today being deprived of the joy of calling a number and asking whoever answers the fon if their "refrigerator is running".

Someone got me good one time with "Hello, is this Mr. Pike?' - I sez "No" - guy on the other end sez "Sorry, I must have the wrong fish." hahahaha!!
