I've seen all but Gone with the WInd and Treasure of the Sierra....
Sigourney Weaver is one of my favourite actresses. And she's fabulous in that Alien!
Gollum - what a genius of combination of man & computer graphics!

I ran into this list a week or so back, Chris (I think the site has the "top 100?").
It would tough to assemble my own rank & ordering, but it would include Woody's character in "Annie Hall" - one of my fave films - and Sean Connery is the definitive "Bond, James Bond". So, I'd go with those two from the list.
Near (or at) the top of my own list would be Humphrey Bogart for two characters - "Sam Spade" in the "Maltese Falcon" and "Rick" in "Casablanca". And just as Connery IS Bond, Basil Rathbone will never be forgotten as THE "Sherlock Holmes", a role he played a number a times.
(A Film Buff's Fair Warning: Don't get me started on films and movie characters!!!!)
Just got a copy in today's post of the first sound film by Alfred Hitchcock, "Blackmail" (1929)! It's also the British Cinema's Industry first talkie. Mostly it was filmed as a silent, but they decided to add sound since it was the next big thing.

I've seen 10, 7, 5, 3 and 1.
Gollum is just fantastic, agreed. and I adore Sean Connery.
As an aside, has anyone seen Bowfinger - Starring Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy? I tell you the movie had me in SPLITS. I was helpless with laughter. I've seen it three times and it cracks me up each time. And then there's Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch. I've seen gone with the wind, its so very very long, but definitely worth it. I've always wanted to do a movie evening where we invite a bunch of friends, and watch a classic, with wine and munchies and stuff. That would be fun.
