So, I've made some more of my live tracks available on my page at AL for your enjoyment and/or drubbing, depending on what mood you're in, I suppose. :tongue

This time, I created wave files, did some eqing (like, upping the bass and the treble, and even the mids), and added a stereo effect. HOPEFULLY, they'll make the recordings sound better. I was proud of my performances on them (although, in some aspects, they could have been better, but, well, I wrote ONE of those songs that very day, and I hadn't worked on the other one in a while, so...), and as you'll hear, the audience liked them too. Hopefully you will too (or, at least, get a good laugh out of them - yes, I know there's a lot of background noise on them...grrrrr...)

The songs are called Two Damn Real and Ten Years On. Completely differing styles of music. Both are on the top of my page at Artistlaunch.com

Enjoy...I, er, hope!

Thank you, SA!

When we moved to Nevada, we were considering either Vegas or Reno. I actually kinda liked Vegas, but I'm kinda fed up with big cities right now. And Reno has a really nice dynamic to it...

Never lived in what would be called a "Big" City....but been to enough of them to know I don't want to...just my preference. Some folks love'em....I love to visit them, then leave!! :lol

Hey Scott,

In your reply on SA's thread, you mentioned that you use MusicMatch.

I can't get musicmatch to play streams off of AL either.

I use Winamp instead...

It's always cool to hear live recordings :)

"Too Damn Real - Live" is a nice vocal-only number.

I liked the melody in "Ten Years On - Live" the most,

reminds me somehow for "The Police" :D :D

Sting/female so to say :D :D :D

Obviously the audience liked it :) )

The sound is a bit weak though, how did you record that?

I think you did put in too much bass at the end then :D

My trousers are shaking just from the bassy-noise before

the songs actually start to play :D Just a hint: Rather than

raising the bass level on such microphone recordings, which

are vulnerable for unwanted noise in the widest sense by

default, you should spot certain frequencies in the bass range

to boost slightly (instead of a wide-shelve) and implement

a general high-pass filter which totally filters out frequencies

below the typical rumble frequency of 56Hz. ;) the effect will

be less "rumbling" and less volume-energy wasted in the bass-

range which means that you can raise the master level overall.

Sorry for this technical Blah-Blah, but we are on the Blah-Blah

board, right? :D :D :D

If you are in the mood, you can check out a instrumental live

recording/jam of our band we did recently:

Unscripted (Live)

That was very helpful, Mike! In fact, I'll go try that high pass filter trick out and get back to you on it!

Thanks! :ww
