(thankfully I only knew after or I would have passed out from intimidation)..

we used to play this club in Aspen where we would see all kinds of familier faces from Movieland and TV and such....

I used to play in a Guitar Duet here in town and one year during the film Festival Jack Nicholson stood right in front of me and stared at me for like 2 minuetes during a really difficult piece...

I thought I was gonna faint ....

(I've always had horrible stage frieght, even after hundreds of gigs I feel nauseous every time I walk on stage)

that Gig had all kinds of famous people as it was the hangout for the "In Crowd" of the "Taos Talking Pictures festival," Julia Roberts, Martin scorsese , all sorts of other vaguely familier people making big hand gestures and sporting big city bling bling and yammering into little cell phones the size of a box of tic tacs...

LOL!!

I dont think many of them paid us much attention though....

except for Jack!!

Well I had an idea of getting out jazzfusion trio into playing at Montreux somehow, which would mean Carlos Santana and John McLaughlin two of the greatest musical heroes of all time (along with Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck) would see it. And the old Santana band in fact who will be there, Gregg Rolie, Michael Shrieve, Neal Schon, etc., also Herbie Hancock, Alice Coltrane and Buddy Guy will be there, maybe Wayne Shorter too. We could do it if we got our @#%$ together, but.... Seems like it's not coming together fast enough dammit. We could match any act there i'm sure, (if we could bloody get a set together) except maybe some of the legends i mentioned above!! There may be more legends even I don't know who else is playing there. Hopefull Jeff Beck will be anyway whetever happens I at least want to try and go to see it as it will be an awesome show.... I mean Carlos Santana with the old Santana band AND Mahavishnu John McLaughlin!! And the rest!!........

OK, now let me think!

Gruff Rhys from the Super Furries is one and he bought my limited edition vinyl EP 'Mask' too, and Robin Williamson (Incredible String Band) asked me to play at his wedding reception party when I used to work for him! Donovan was special guest at this!

no miss chris im talking about the montreux jazz festival that's going to happen this year. all these guys are playing at the festival. and if i could get the lazy fusion trio working out we maybe able to somehow budge our way in.

Theo and Chris, I met Arthur Brown last year at Glastonbury, where he was in my opinion, the most exciting act there! And yes, he did 'Fire!'

I was chatting to him backstage for ages and he told me until he was 11 he used to live in Cardiff which is where I live.
