I think you guys like Frank Marino's stuff.....?

Well - he put a preview of an upcoming double CD on his site...

It's live stuff, from his latest European tour...(2003)..

It's Flash site, so I can't give a deep-link, but here's his site...

Just thought you guys might dig it...

DROOLY!!

LIKE?? LIKE??

Man, Frank's stuff is some of the BEST Heavy Metal that has EVER been done..."Dragonfly" comes to mind...think they did one called "GuitWar" too...

I tried to pattern my tune "Broken Dreams" after what I kinda thought he and MR might do...but it doesn't hold his work's jock strap...

Thanks a million for the tip, my brutha!!

And Larree....you LUCKY Dawg...wish I could say the same!!

Dragonfly was a groovy tune!!

that sort of Robin Trower groove!!

"He rose with an eery grace

A giant blue green sentinel

from some distant time and space"

HA HA!!

I still have 'Maxoom', 'Strange Universe' and 'Child Of The Novelty' on vinyl!!..

with the coolest cover art!!

I think I stopped buying his records around the time of "tales of the unexpected"..but that was a lovely record!!

I got to see them at the Rainbow Music Hall..My friend Kevin and I camped out by the front doors and were the first ones in!!

HA HA!!

remember when you had enough "free time" to piss away two days sitting in line for a rock concert!!

LOL!!

anyway..I always Lover fanks stuff, he was somthing of a cult figure among the young guitarists of my time....I was always inspired by how young he was on those forst three albums!..it made me practice a lot harder than I probably would have otherwise...

Thanks for the Link Drooly!...I'll listen today!

peace

WOW!!!

franks site is Neat!!!

thanks Drooly!!...I never would have imagined..

and there are quite a few records I never knew he did...

god, this is making me very nostalgic...

I'm definately buying the new CD...his live performances were epic! I would imagine that it's a monster 2 CD set!!

you know...this guy really is one of the big reasons I played guitar...just the fact that there was this kind of enigmatic and Young guy playing fantastic psychedelic rock guitar...he had done 3 records or maybe even four before I had ever heard of him and then I found Strange Universe in a record store and I was stunned!!.

the Music, the weird and wonderful poetry...and album cover art!!...

it was everything a misfit teenage reclusive guitar player could want !!!!

DROOLY! Very cool! I LOVE the song "Voodoo Chile" haha what a way to grab my attention at the start! - this is awesome stuff! There's a lot of variety of stuff that's shown on this trailer! Wow! Is that Frank singing also?

And if he inspired PANick, that's good enough for a HK rock chick - I want his CD too!!

Is it possible for you to get a signed photo for me Drooly? If not, that's OK. I'd LOVE to see him in concert.
