the online collaboration..

Seismic Anamoly and PANick

sorry it's not mixed I little better...

I was pressed for time

But it's still kinda neat!!

the Bass needs work..With some compression I may be able to hide the fact that I could barely play the funky old super high action P Bass that was on hand...

:tweed

it's called

SEISMOLOGY

Great job, Panick Man!! The only thing I'd take out is on my end....the little voice over part "in your face" about a minute in....I can remove it if ya want and put it up for you to download somewhere....

You did a great job overlaying the beat, etc.

I like it, I like it!!!!

HA HA!!

I left that voice thing of yours in there cuz I thought it was funny!!

But I should have practiced soloing for a while in that scale ..huh?..

It's a groovy scale though!!!

and as I listen this morning my bass playing is horrid..as is the Bass tone

I'll go re-track it this weekend and I'll borrow Omars Jazz Bass..(it has nice low action so I can actually play it)

HA HA!!

anyway, I just didn't want you to think I had forgotten, so it's a bit rushed, I think I did that in 2 hours,,,

which is rushed for me because I'm still pretty slow on protools....and I can't even operate Omars mastering bus..

I'll try to make a proper tune out of it in the next week..

Peace!

Some fine work there, Panick - a Santana-like feel to start, then a bit of Spanish scale works that moves into the warm jazz territory. Nifty!

Geroge Benson on steroids??

HA HA!!

well...I'm not a huge Benson fan.....I was thinking more like Al DiMiola on Qualudes..

huh?

and , drooly, I'm not sure what that scale is, the bass line that siesmo used seemed to imply Am..but I worked it into E as well..

soo..

I started playing this scale that is a bit Am with one section that is sort of deminished ..by playing G instead of F#...so it starts to sound kinda middle eastern...ish

ya think?

hmm..anyway..I'm diggin it, i've been playing in that scale and the deminished scale all week now!!!

it's FREAKING my playing out, and the transition from the G to the B string is getting less awkward...I stumbled over it a couple times on the solo in this tune...but I'm finding cooler ways to do it now!

Once again, well done, my brutha...are you gonna tweak it any?? If so, I'll wait till you get it the way you want it and then put it up at ArtistLaunch and we'll shoot it to the Top 5 on the Jazz chart there... :thumb

I definitely heard that "middle-eastern-ish" flavour......

I'm not partial to exotic scales, on an emotional level. (I'm strictly a pentatonic/blues/major or minor scale kinda guy)

But I'm intrigued as hell when someone can wrap their mind around them like that.....

Hey Siesmo..

I'm gonna take out the voice thing like you said..

and fix the bass....and, I'd like to have your playing on there somwhere too!!

huh?

then it'll be more.."collaborative"..

maybe after the solo I'll run that section that is just sustained harminics for twice as long and you can play some Am stuff over it..huh?

then it'll go back to that outro?

somthing like that??

maybe?

huh??

wanna???

it'll be fun!

I'll have the studio sunday and sgould be done with my own stuff in plenty of time to play around with this some more

k?
