Hi Shandi! Am listening to Our Time from your Urban Berlin album. Piano music - dedicated to the old music. It's very reminiscent of that era too. Lovely track. And boy can you sing Shandi!

Then decided to listen to "Forgive & Forget" (thought I'd go from one end of your career to the other!!) This definitely sounds like something from the 80s! I actually like the other track more. You've got a great voice - sounds like you can easily move from your chest voice into your head voice and back down again. Sensational.

I will listen to more of your songs next week. Thanks so much for letting us know you have music online.

Shandi, do you write all the songs yourself or do you collaborate?

What is your opinion on royalty collection companies such as ASCAP?

I have co-writen over the years and am open to collaboration, although my new CD is all self penned. I belong to BMI and love when those royalty checks come in. Some people believe ASCAP pays a little more, but I wouldn't know.

Isn't it cool the way bbchris expresses an honest interest in the new people she meets, Shandi?

In spite of her talent and magnetic persona, she always makes the effort and takes the time to get to know others.

(As opposed to only talking about herself.)

Isn't that cool?

:)

Shandi, thanks for your honest answers. I will direct some important people to this thread. I'll tune in again later on this week (am now working on a speakerless computer)

Have a great week!

WOW .......incredibly talented and diverse interests.........

its wonderful to know that someone with your abilities and accomplishments is STILL interested in the inequities and

tribulations of this world and those feelings are expressed in your music .....salt of the earth ......

I admire you greatly for that ............and can YOU SING !!!! WOW

And I HAVE ADORED Joan Baez for many years......, probably since the first moment heard her voice.

I can remember going to the library so I could hear her sing the Cherry Tree Carol ......

are you going for her VERY early days??

Love and HUGS

Swannie

yes droolymut i think it is very cool that bbchris is supportive of other musicians. And swanspirit; early joan baez is great but i just went to see her new touring show and she was amazing. She made jokes about how young all the songwriters are on her new CD. She features diverse writers including Steve Earle, Gillian Welch and Natalie Merchant. My favorite cuts are "In my time of need" by Ryan Adams and " Elvis Presley Blues" by Gillian Welch and David Rawlings - wonderful songs. Please try and catch her show if she comes through your town, you won't be dissapointed. Wow I'm talking about someone else - I guess it is possible! (:

(music intro, then sing)

"It's Droolymutt's Lonely Hearts Club Band

He hopes his proposal will make you glow,

It's Droolymutt's Lonely Hearts Club Band

Sit back and just tell him 'no' -

It's Droolymutt's Lonely Hearts Club Band

He'd like to take you home with him

He'd love to take you home with him"
