Sir:
Regarding your music; I am most interested in the materials on your site.
Statue is a major independent record company and would like to discuss the possibility of releasing this material and doing some radio promotion on it.
If your record is available for licensing and distribution please
contact me at your earliest opportunity.
Best Regards,
Geoffrey Emery

Post progressive/World Fusion band ANUBIS SPIRE signs with STATUE RECORDS.
ANUBIS SPIRE has signed a worldwide licensing, manufacturing, retail distribution and commercial radio promo contract with L.A.'s Statue Records, the west coast's largest independent label. Statue Records will be releasing the band's debut CD "Old Lions (in the world of snarling sheep)" on the STATUE label and providing retail store placement, commercial radio promotion and digital media downloads. ANUBIS SPIRE'S principle songwriter and guitarist, Bill MacKechnie, said "We're happy to have Statue onboard. The non-exclusive contract will allow us to continue to be in control of our rights and recorded output while allowing Statue's retail and distribution clout to bring our music to a whole new level of visibility and directly to those fans who buy music exclusively 'off the shelf' at retail outlets. We're also excited about finally getting a shot at commercial radio airplay. We do extremely well on indie, college and internet stations, but commercial radio has been a hard nut to crack. Statue's commitment to working their releases 'the old fashioned way' by hitting the phones, street and knocking on radio station doors is just what we need at this point in the plan. We look forward to making this partnership a success."

Yeah, it's worth getting info on them - number of releases per year, how they make thier buck$ and all that other cool stuff.
Googling the name might yield up some comments from persons who've done bidness with 'em. Also, you could check out their listed artists, get an individual band member's email addy and do a little Q&A. But, hey, it's kinda nice that they took notice of your stuff, at any rate!
And, yup, JW Blue Label is a top scotch blend, aged 25 years and does indeed go for between $180-200 per bottle. Of course, mine is a "beer budget", but I can dream can't I, lol.
But y'know, after a few shots from a half gallon of "5 Star Whiskey", it all seems just as good! Especially if you have a really fine cigar with it. But after a few more 5-Star shots, you'd swear even a cheapo drugstore cigar were Havana's finest!

Howdy Guy & welcome to BlahBlah!
If you check one of the threads here you'll find that Seismic A. did sign a non-exclusive deal with them. I bet he could tell ya how things are going so far.
It's in this thread, I believe.
