you mean your FIREWALL ídentified the attack, NOT your Anti-Virus

Since you were warned and not asked to allow access, you don't have to double check, it's auto-blocked *hardcore*. This type of spybots doesn't go through Norton's Firewall.

Yeah, Spybot is a fine free program Drooly! I use it along with 3 other freebie progs to keep things free and clean from adware, spyware, scumware, browswer hijackers, etc. (And of course, in addition, I have a good AV program)

The other 3 free programs I mentioned are:

Adaware

It catches most anything that Spybot might miss

Bazooka Scanner

A very quick program that reports any adware, spyware, trojans, etc, that it finds.

CWShredder mainpage

OR

CWShredder.exe - direct link to program, right click and "save as"

A tiny program that finds and cleans up anything/sites that may have replaced ("hijacked") your startpage or added favorites/webpages to your browser and-or desktop.

These are freeware and so are the updates, but you can also make a donation if you are so moved. Everything should stay bug-free with these guys used regularly!
