I give it a week tops before one of those elite German crackers defeat it...
Kinda like Radar detectors...upgrade the Radar, upgrade the detector....upgrade the Radar again, upgrade the detector again....and so on and so on and so on....

HAHA! Already done, Seismo
("Toast-Audio-Extractor" for MacOS )
Well... I think the ugly thing is, that the poor people throwing out 20 or 30 dollars for an album, get a CD which plays in MP3-Audio-Format on their PC's, is not working with every Red-Book-CD-player, not to speak from the fact that they can't burn anything on private CDR's.
It's really getting worse everyday with the "Industry",
since the "handicapped" are always the last honest customers.

I'll say it again.
I have bought just about every format of the same titles. I realize that they are trying to stop piracy? But in the same token I refuse to keep the industry alive anymore by buying the same titles over and over just because they keep upgrading the media. For the price of music nowdays you should be able to backup the expensive media that you buy.....and not just to a cassette. May the people who figure out ways around this abound. My friend and I had a thought....If you were only able to download low bit mono mp3 files with a link or location in the mp3 info window for those who want you to have the best bitrate mp3 files...like those of us who give them away free...And apply this to the p2p networks so they can't pass higher quality audio files through their networks. That would solve a lot of illeagle file sharing and allow people to sample the music and buy or go to the location for a leagle download.

I think that's brilliant what you've just said Jay!
And Mike & Seismic - so ridiculous to go after the 'customer' for more $$$!! What about the guys who SELL pirated CDs etc? They are the ones making $$ from this - not your grandma or teenager who's downloading a tune here or there on the Internet.. (except I don't know many Grandma's who know how to download stuff on the Internet... hahahaha)

The Industry is cutting it's own throat by angering the few people left who support it. People will discover quality music by Indie's like ourselves who are willing to offer FREE downloads just to create a fan base.
