"Free Republic" is a conservative forum, the denizens call themselves "Freepers". It's mostly US folks, but there is a "sister" site in Canada called "Free Dominion" where the conservative folks to our north get together & confab. Kind of like "Farking" (hanging around/posting at Fark.Com), but Fark is funnier and has a wider political spectrum in it's posters.

The "cat" should have added a Sisters link to go with his wordplay and the pic - I see he's calling the image right from the Sister's site!

I visit/read at all sorts of webplaces. I don't know about "well informed", LOL, but everyone has an opinion and it seems most folks don't mind sharing it! It's funny to read board A where the locals are pro-this and then go elsewhere on the web to board B to see people who are anti-this! And often using the same argument/logic to get to their opposite conclusions, hahaha! Then sometimes there are the political blog-wars between right & left bloggers and the fur starts flying.

Maybe the guy is a Sisters fan? I looked over his name-profile link and he does seem to reference music in some other posts. Could be a indie music in general fan, too. Well there is a saying "there's no such thing as bad PR"! What';s the other related saying - "As long as they spell the name right"?
