Well it was great.
Saturday!
Saturday, I came late and missed acts like Electric Eel Shock
(Japan) (whom I'm gutted to have missed! They were the highlight of Saturday!), A Guy Called Gerald (UK), and The Feelers (NZ)
The highlight act for today was 'Finley Quaye'(from the UK) who proved to be a big disappointment due to zero-audience participation and supposedly 'too-much-pot-smoked-earlier' which meant that he made a few dismissive comments to the audience. We were sitting down on the grass and listening and couldn't work out if he was reggae or pop or indie - he played a few weird covers too. Bless him
Waxed Apple (UK) were quite entertaining. I actually thought
they were a local band at first!! hahahahaha I like this pic
of the drummer:
They were the only band that I saw that used visual images
on the stage. It was cool. Music was a mix of live and recorded samples. Here's a short clip.
Sunday!
We got there early and it was a glorious day not a cloud in the sky, here's one general shot of the crowd:
Whence He came - the best HK band (after Thinking Out Loud!!!) were as entertaining as usual. Tight songs and great strange presence from these Christian boys (you wouldn't know it from their songs!)
Watching DJ Marky Mark (from UK) - Nick decided I needed to get my photo taken in front of the stage - that explains this mad photo:
Speaking of Nick (my roadie!) - somehow he'd got himself a Tshirt:
So now I live on some strange hippie island.......
Friends of ours had set up a teepee and Kumi was running her drumjam on both days - here's one pic of two drummers:
If you have broadband, here's a 25 second avi video of me walking up to the teepee.
Now here's a tall man that caught my eye....
Australian Band "The Regurgitators" were the highlight
for me. Brilliant band - 3 piece - tight and entertaining.
They knew how to talk to the audience and their music

Thanks guys!! Did anyone watch any of the avi clips?
Drooly - it's a Canon Powershot S-30, its kind of old, they make a S-50 these days. In fact there's so much more it can do but I'm slowly learning. I actually found the video function by mistake.....

Paul! Thanks sweetie!! I do have a few more - let me watch/look at them today and see if they are fit for public consumption. Yes I realised that one was distorted, I forget to cover the mic on my camera with my finger and I was standing right in front of the amps - hahahahahaha
