Leslie West was THE KOOLEST when he came on the scene. That there was a thick guitar.

I must be as old as you, maybe older. I saw Mountain open for Jethro Tull back in the day. That was a hell of a concert.

I saw them about two years ago in Batesville, Arkansas at an old movie theatre...It was set up by a local vitage record company...there wasn't more than 100 people there,,but he and Corky played like there was 50,000 there....I always felt the solo on "Theme for an Imaginery Western" was the most emotion filled solo I ever heard and still feel so to this day...I'm sure I'm older than most of you at 47...I also remember all the artwork for the albums was done by Gail Collins, she also co-wrote a lot of songs with Felix...then she shot him down.....
he was the master of the vibrato,,made that small Les paul, Jr. with one P-90 sound fatter than he was....
I had an odd experience about Mountain.. About 10 years ago I had a long dream in which i was watching Mountain in concert, same sound, but all the songs were new...dammit, I sure wish i could have remembered those songs....
