Yesterday - I met some inspiring people !

One HK man who finally reached the summit of MT. Everest this year on his fifth attempt. (can you imagine being 100 metres away from the summit and having to turn back cause there's not enough oxygen??!?!)

Another guy who took a year off work to sail around the world in a race with no previous experience of sailing!

Then Ffyona Campbell who's in the Guiness book of world records for walking around the world (She's walked from New York to LA ~ twice, from top of Scotland to Land's End in the UK, and she walked from Capetown to the Mediterranean ~ 10,000 miles across Africa)

It was fantastic to hear their stories then meet them. Made me realise it's OK to have dreams but more importantly it's time to start planning my dreams TODAY. WHeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Something about "Inspiring for Team Work" - I've forgotten the title of it to be honest! Whoops! Over-achievers? Hardly! I'd LOVE to climb Everest. Well firstly I want to get to Nepal and see the Himalayas - it's supposed to be so breath-taking. I've been to Canadian Rockies and they are awesome - I quite like big mountains. :banana

Well then it's UP to me to lift this thread out of the gutter!

I bought Fiona's book and I've just started reading it - it's easy to read and since I've heard her story and met her - the book reads in the way she speaks which is great!

I'm going to another inspirational evening in a couple of weeks time - it's funny that you keep seeing the same people attending these events - it seems some of us are constantly looking for something....
