"The resident Green Man (aka druid and self confessed "media tart" The Bard of Ely' ... 'Steve' to his mates) was another star, compering the 'main stage' (an Axminster carpeted billiard room) with gusto and letting rip with some extravagant, Woodstock-vintage moves. "The green man never goes away because the green man is the planet earth..." he declaimed between a swig of Stella and a mouthful of chips "And this festival is more than worthy of his name - it's the seed of the green man. The seed of a much bigger Green Man Festival to come, which will flourish and blossom and become huge."
