thanks Chris :D

Actually its only the observant who notice the resemblance. Most people think we're from a different family! Thats what comes of having so much mixed blood, you never know what genes are going to end up in the kids :wgrin . I think we all have the same foreheads, same expressions (cept my language is a LOT worse than anyone elses...) and we sound the same.

When we used to go to church, folks in town who didnt know us used to ask if we all lived in the same "hostel" (kind of rented boarding and lodging where college kids stayed in b'lore) - never suspecting that we were family. That was hilarious. I have one more sister, btw... will post some party pics later.

My gran (we call her nan) is my mom's mom. She's scottish. She's 82 now. Wow. my only living grandparent. A real character, I tell ya. :fade

Yawwwwwwwwn. sleepy now.

I hope you're safe in Lamma. Hows the storm shaping up there?

xx

hahaha Debbie!! Your family sounds like so much fun!! I'm totally Chinese heavy with very little English family hahahahaha

Safe here - as long as there's no thunderstorm and I have to log off I'm happy! It's pretty windy and rainy and the house is in a valley so I can't imagine what the houses on the waterfront are like..... The curious thing was I just tuned into the radio earlier to see and they said, the #8 has just been raised - I was like COOL! Typhoon party!! hahahaha :w

Ok, I finally made the time to scan in some pics of home and

family in Bangalore (although only my mom and one sis are

there now). The scanner did something with the light in all

the pics, so I adjusted it and messed it all up. sorry.

Here's our dog, TinTin

Can you spot the guy in the coconut tree? He a guy expert in

shinning up trees, whom mother hires to get the ripe

coconuts down before they break loose on their own and

brain somebody.

And here's my sis and her hubby drinking the fruits of his

labours.

we have tons of fruit trees - coconuts, bananas, mangoes,

pomogranite, papaya, guava... yummmmy. Sometimes I really

get homesick from my 25th floor apartment looking onto

everyone's bloody windows.

My visit to Buffalo (NY)... simply felt like sunning myself and

doing a bit of a stretch...:evil

Here's mother - we always sit here, out in the garden have

tea and yak and yak. pretty idyllic. I'm the quiet one in my

family.... :aua

Here's my sister, my grandmom, and my mom. The guys are

my cousins, and the girl on the extreme left is my cuz's wife.

My grandmom lives in london with the rest of my moms family

- she was visiting.

My sister got married christmas of 2002...

Yet another sister June got married 2001...

Me doing a bit of twirling with my cuz whos a super-duper

hair stylist from Vancouver.

Me and sis waiting for a cab in HK.

I hate waiting - can you tell?

God knows when I'm going to do another scan.

I'm exhausted now. I think I need a new scanner, what?

nite now!

Thanks for passing these along, Debbie. Looks like some fine people and the photos are dandy! I love it when people I visit dig out their "box of pictures". So interesting, especially getting a gander at the relatives.

The buddy I mentioned who married the gal from Madras used to show slides of his visits to India, that was fun to check out. He also gave me a lungi - or as my bros & mom called it "my skirt", hahaha!

Thanks for boinking the idiotic photos wheeeeeeeeeeee. There'll be some more - gotta scan them in. Those will be far MORE idiotic!

Ron! so you got a lungi, eh? know how to tie it? and do you wear it long or folded above the knee??? hahahahahaha. My sister (the second wedding pic) had a beautiful soft cotton lungi (with a lovely batik design) which she swiped from my dad and never wore, but carried it around as a security blanket - like Linus :D . She slept with it till her teens! I think she still has it...

My family is quite quite mad, but very interesting. I could write a book of their (and my) escapades... :yeah

:g
